Lemken updates drill portfolio for Agritechnica

At Agritechnica, Lemken will introduce new models to its Solitair drill portfolio. The new Solitair PT uses an integrated Zirkon power harrow, offering four tines per working metre, with hydraulic depth adjustment as standard, as well as individual adjustment of the rotor speed and forward speed.

The drill comes with a single product, 4,400-litre tank, or a double tank with a capacity of 5,100 litres split 40:60. It uses corrosion-resistant components and a modular metering system, designed to handle a wide range of seeds and fertilisers. Product is metered to the OptiDisc double-disc coulter bar, which is guided by a parallelogram. The OptiDisc M system allows for coulter pressures up to 45kg, while the more robust OptiDisc H has a maximum downwards force of 70kg. This can be adjusted either mechanically or hydraulically, fully independent of the seed depth.

Lemken will also introduce the Solitair MF pneumatic drill, a folding version of the MR available in working widths of 4m, 4.5m and 6m. As standard, it comes with two electronic metering units, each feeding to a seed distributor for half-width section control as standard. This can be extended to up to four sections on the 6m machine.

The metering units are corrosion-resistant, with toolless changeover of the metering wheels for quick adaptation to different seed sizes. The dose rate can be set from the tractor cab, with a maximum rate of 500kg/ha.

It has a tank capacity of 2,000 litres, with the option to split 60:40 for seed and fertiliser. It can also be combined with the Solitair F front tank (1,900 or 2,400 litres). Product is metered to the parallelogram-guided OptiDisc M coulter bar, with a choice of 12.5cm or 15cm. This can be further fitted with harrow variants to suit working conditions.

The drill is Isobus compatible, using Lemken’s iQblue system with optional automatic section control. The iQblue Go app further allows operations to carry out calibration and fill level monitoring from a mobile device.
