Lamma showcase for new Krone EasyCut mower

Krone has developed a new cutter bar folding system for its EasyCut folding conditioner mower, said to be a world-first, which will go on show at Lamma.

The new EasyCut F 400 CV Fold has a maximum working width of 4.04m. Compared to standard front mowers, it is said to boost efficiency and work rates but does not exceed the statutory 3m transport width.

When changing over for road transport, a hydraulic slewing gearbox folds the two outer discs into the space between the tractor wheels and the mower to reduce the width to under 3m. At the same time, the driveline is not cut and the discs remain in the cutting position.

Folding is hydraulic and the sequence can be triggered from the cab. When the machine arrives at the field, the discs fold back into the working position and are hydraulically secured. The side guards fold into work.

The wide 4.04m working width is also said to eliminate the risk of the tractor running on cut grass, as well as the risk of leaving stripes of uncut grass.
