Czech manufacturer Strojírny Rožmitál has introduced two new models to its disc mower range, specifically the SD-24L lightweight side-mounted mower and the SC-301R front-mounted machine with a roller conditioner.

“With the new mowers, we are responding to farmers and customers asking for these machines. The lightweight SD-24L model offers a larger working width compared to last year’s SD-20L model, while the SC-301R front-mounted mower with roller conditioner will be appreciated by farmers working with alfalfa and clover, for example,” said sales director Pavel Jahoda.

The SD-24L is the second machine with side mountings and spring suspension in the portfolio, following the launch of the SD-20L last year. It has a 2.38m working width and comes equipped with six discs, each with two quick-release blades.

Hydraulic elements have been fully integrated into the frame and the unit is completed with durable steel skids. According to the company, the machine has an output of between two and three hectares per hour and can be used with a tractor from 60hp.

The SC-301R is a front-mounted unit with a roller conditioner, offering a 3.01m working width with a cutter bar made up of seven discs, each with two blades.

With a double-sided mounting, the cutter bar and frame are said to be firm, with cutter bar suspension using coil springs. The mower is equipped with an overload protection friction clutch and there are heavy-duty steel skids.

The machine is completed with a roller conditioner, which can be disengaged if required.
