Knight Farm Machinery has revamped its sprayer portfolio, with a new dark grey colour scheme and clearer model numbering.
The mounted series will now be the KM 10 series, with the following numbers clearly showing the capacity between 1,300 and 1,900 litres. KFT will indicate front tanks, while KT 20 series machines are trailed, and SP 30 series are self-propelled units.
New technology was also on the stand, in the form of the company’s SmartRinse system. This fully automated rinsing system introduces clean water into the tank as the chemical solution is used. As the chemical is diluted further, the application rate is automatically increased so as not to underapply in the field. This continues until both the main tank and clean water tank are emptied, ensuring that the tank, pipework and nozzles are cleaned out before leaving the field.
This not only saves time for the operator but limits the risk of cross-contamination during busy seasons, when large farms and contractors may be making several applications within a short period of time.
