Fendt has released the new generation model of its largest four-rotor rake, the Former 14055 PRO. This rake model is designed for use on large farms and has a working width of 10.5 to 13.8m. The new generation model includes features such as new sensors, a more functional design, and an optional LED working light package.
Contactless sensors
Six new contactless angle sensors are fitted as standard on the hitch, the front lift arms (working width adjustment) and the chassis axle. The sensor on the hitch detects the angle of impact of the trailer and warns drivers of any possible damage via an acoustic signal. The sensor on the front lift arms shows the working width in real time. The new sensors have an even longer service life and offer greater operational safety.
Functional design
The Former 14055 PRO now has a more functionally designed bonnet made of durable plastic, and is ergonomically shaped to prevent forage deposits; all hydraulic components are protected within the cover.
In the front area of the rake, components such as the hydraulic block, the job computer and all diagnostic connections can be accessed without tools.
LED working lights for better safety
A new package with five high-performance LED working lights is an optional for the Fendt Former 14055 PRO. The lights optimally illuminate the rotors and the working area of the rake for better visibility, ergo, increased safety measures during early-starting or late-finishing harvest days.
ISOBUS/terminal functions
The Former 14055 PRO features the proConnect ISOBUS system, which includes the Fendt flexHIGH, gapControl and myMemory functions. Fendt gapControl constantly checks the overlap of the front and rear rotors and shows this on the display while the myMemory rake management system enables working widths, swath widths and raking height settings to be stored and selected at the push of a button.
The flexHIGH system automates raking height adjustments, so that if the tractor’s forward speed increases, the speed-dependent system lowers the rotors and regulates the distance between the tines and the ground. When stationary, the tines are raised to increase the distance to the ground – protecting both turf and rake parts. Operators can also choose between three flexHIGH intensity levels or deactivate the function too.
Operators can also adjust the working and swath width of the rake, directly from the tractor cab, thanks to the model’s ISOBUS control system. Rear rotors adjust the swath width synchronously at all times; the working width can be adjusted synchronously or independently, for the left and right sides of the machine, via the front rotors. The ISOBUS control system also enables individual lifting of the rotors.
Additionally, there is the adjustable headland lift. The lift height of the rotors at the headland can be adjusted in five stages via the terminal. The sequencing control for the front and rear rotors is available as standard and neatly shapes swaths to completion.
