Models above 75hp in the 5G series of tractors from John Deere has undergone a complete update, including the introduction of five new, more powerful models in the GV, GN, GF and GL ranges.

The latest models include the 5115 in GF, GN and GV variants, delivering up to 120hp from the 3.6-litre, four-cylinder engine. For vineyard operations, the GV range also receives the 5105G and 5115G with maximum powers of 105hp and 120hp respectively.

Cab variants now feature the five-speed Hi-Lo PowrReverser Eco-transmission to enable 40kph travel at a reduced engine speed. The redesigned cabin is also said to offer improved ergonomics and increased legroom. A reduced bonnet heigh increases visibility to the front and there is the option of LED lighting.

A Category IV filtration system can be integrated into the roof of the cabin as an option and an additional highlight is the new five-inch digital display, presenting vehicle information and enabling machine and implement settings to be changed.

ISOBUS is available as an option and the machines can be retrofitted with the JD-Link telematics model. Other precision equipment includes Dynamic Steering (which adjusts steering wheel resistance based on the ground speed) and AutoClutch (enabling the clutch to be engaged with the brake pedal).

For orchard work, John Deere also offers the 5G range with an open station or low profile cabin. The GL now has a new 105hp model, as well as a larger driver’s seat for increased comfort.
