Now in its 28th year, the Scotland vs. The Rest annual match held for members of the British Veterinary Association Golf Society (BVAGS) was co-sponsored this year by Norbrook Laboratories Ltd.

Almost 30 vets took part in the friendly golf tournament on 22-24 September. Speaking of the initiative, The Hon. Edward Haughey, CEO and Managing Director of Norbrook GB said:

“Working at the frontline of the animal health industry, vets are often under considerable pressure. As a company that relies extensively on both in-house and independent vets, Norbrook’s involvement in this long-standing tournament gives us another opportunity to say ‘thanks.'”

The event finished off at The Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport with the winners’ trophy presented to Scotland. BVAGS Captain and team captain Charlie Sale BVMS CertSAO DipECVS MRCVS, European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery said:

“On behalf of both teams and all BVAGS members, I would like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to Norbrook for co-sponsoring and helping organise this year’s event. It was a great success and great fun for all involved. Getting a chance to escape for an event like this is very special for us and something we all look forward to.”
