Lyndon Edwards, organic dairy farmer and Deputy Chairman of OMSCo (the Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative), has been announced as the deserving recipient of the Dairy Ambassador of the Year award at this year’s Cream Awards, which were held last night at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

The judges commended Lyndon’s achievements in the dairy industry and acknowledged the significant work he does to support dairying in the UK.

Lyndon, who oversees all farm and business activities at his 670 acre organic dairy farm in Monmouthshire, is well-known in the dairy industry, having held a vast range of senior positions on leading bodies.

“Lyndon is a remarkable asset to the dairy industry and is a strong example of a dynamic, innovative and successful dairyman,” says Nicholas Saphir, OMSCo executive chairman.

“He is passionate about the industry, both conventional and organic, and works tirelessly in local, national and international roles that ensure he represents British agriculture in a positive, successful and creative light.
“In his current role as deputy chairman and executive director at OMSCo, he has a deep involvement in leading the organic dairy industry,” adds Nicholas.

“He has positively led OMSCo to set a massive example to the dairy industry as a whole; driving export and new UK business opportunities.

Lyndon is also Chairman of the Dairy UK farmer’s forum; Chairman of the Action Group for Johne’s; Board member of Dairy UK; Board member of the Dairy Council and Board member of the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers.
