BRP appoints new Can-Am dealer in East Anglia

Range and Road, a Watton based, family-run dealership, has been appointed to the Can-Am dealer network.

The addition of the Can-Am on and off-road lineup will see the company add two new salespeople and technicians, and recruit more staff as the business grows. Furthermore, the Range and Road states that it will be putting the customer experience first with the use of a custom-built test track.

Chris Abel, managing director, Range and Road , commented: “Our team has a background in off-road vehicles as we have been supplying them to the events industry for a considerable time during which we were receiving sales requests.

“This led us to become a dealer and form Range and Road. With my background in off-road competing, I was aware of the Can-Am off-road brand, so it was a logical step to add it to our portfolio because of the breadth of products available to recreational and utility users and the fact that the petrol vehicles still make up a large proportion of the marketplace – and we wanted to capitalise on this sector of the market.

“We also took the decision to add the on-road line-up for three distinct reasons. The first is the on-road line-up complements the off-road vehicle offering. The second is the fact they are high-quality vehicles, and the third is the breadth of line-up ensures we have something for everyone, whether that is someone looking for a nippy runabout or long-range cruiser. We are excited to be joining the Can-Am family and cannot wait to start selling the brand.”

Mike Loach, BRP commercial manager UK & Ireland, added: “The market for recreational and utility vehicles in East Anglia is one of untapped potential, so the addition of Chris and his team will help us plant our flag firmly in the marketplace. Chris has a passion for off-road vehicles due to the competing he has done, so he knew all about what the off-road line-up could offer.

“He is also aware that adding the Can-Am on-road line-up will deliver a new customer base as well as the opportunity to cross-pollinate when it comes to sales for the business. We are looking forward to working closely with the Range and Road team to help them grow and meet the goals they have set for the business in the short, medium and long term.”
