Hamblys Ltd, based in Launceston, Cornwall, has been appointed the new Authorised Bobcat Dealer for Cornwall and Devon with immediate effect, and will also take on the West Somerset area from the 1st of July.

John Christofides, regional sales director for Bobcat EMEA, said: “Hamblys is a very professional business with an excellent reputation in the South West. We are looking forward to working closely with them to increase the growth of the Bobcat brand in this area in every sector from our traditional markets in construction, rental and agriculture to the newer markets such as ground maintenance equipment.”

Steve Barrett, managing director of Hamblys, said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded the Bobcat franchise and to begin the next phase of our growth into the construction industry. We have recruited Lee Blewett as our Bobcat franchise manager, who will lead our ‘Non-Agricultural’ business development. He joins us with an excellent background in construction, and will be bringing extensive experience and knowledge to the new role to best serve our construction customers.”

As well as its head office in Launceston, Hamblys has branches in Redruth, Honiton and Torrington, as well as a fifth depot at Bishops Lydeard, Somerset. The firm will offer a full selection of genuine accessories and parts, as well as on-site service.
