ArgiArgo UK to target more of the arable market at Tillage-Live

The UK and Ireland branch of McCormick and Landini will demonstrate the top model of its most popular arable tractor range at this year’s Tillage-Live. The McCormick X7.624 VT-Drive will be equipped with a 6m power harrow from sister brand Morra.

The tractor is the flagship of the three-model X7 range which spans 210hp up to 240hp, with a maximum torque of 983Nm, available at 1,400rpm. A maximum 41% torque reserve is available from the FPT engine and power is put to the ground through the VT-Drive continuously variable transmission.

Morra implements include the power harrow range, which runs from 0.9m to 6m working widths, available through McCormick dealers. The two halves of the WP6000 machine can be run in fixed or float modes, with the ability to slow the rotor speed at a fixed ratio by inverting the gears. Hydraulic packer control comes as standard.

“The Scottish tractor market is a particularly strong one for McCormick, and we’re looking forward to meeting with existing and prospective customers and dealers at Tillage Live, where they will also be able to see examples of our latest X5 and X6.4 tractors,” said Adrian Winnett, AgriArgo UK managing director.

“Recent dealer appointments have strengthened McCormick’s already strong Scottish network, which has performed particularly well in the past two years.

“That’s why Scotland is a key area of strategic focus. We want to help the very loyal dealer network we have assembled – some of whom are the best-performing dealers in the UK – to further build on their success in supplying farmers with well-supported products that offer something extra over larger brands, and are backed by independent family businesses with the same focus as the farms they serve.”

Tillage-Live will take place at Dunbar, East Lothian on Wednesday the 28th of September.
