The Syngenta Fields of Innovation event will showcase the latest varieties and new developments in agritech and visitors will be the first to see the latest Asa-Lift cabbage harvester. Grimme UK is supporting the event, which takes place near Surfleet on the 13th and 14th of October and sees the event as the perfect opportunity to showcase the new MC-1010 C.

It features an improved, steeper intake and can be equipped with an elevator, or can fill boxes directly. It will be offered in three different options: tractor mounted, trailed or as a self-propelled machine. There is the further option to specify the machine as a single or twin-row unit.

“The new ASA-LIFT cabbage harvester is a significant development within our range of vegetable harvesters,” said Rob Wilkinson, vegetable product specialist at Grimme UK. “With several mounting options and a redesigned in-take, the MC-1010 C is the most gentle harvester we have ever made, and the refinements also mean it is one of the quickest too. We are very much looking forward to supporting Syngenta and showing off this new machine.”

Asa-Lift is a subsidiary of Grimme, acquired in 2013 with a 70% before the company was purchased 100% in July 2020. It was founded in 1936 and has had a major focus on developing mechanical solutions for labour-intensive crops such as cabbages.
