Fullwood Packo evolves into the Fullwood Packo Dairy Group to achieve global ambitions

Milking systems and milk storage equipment manufacturer, Fullwood Packo, has announced that it has formally become the Fullwood Packo Dairy Group: a name change which signifies an important step for the company as it aims to expand its global market share.

“The creation and launch of the Fullwood Packo Dairy Group is a significant and exciting step in the company’s development into a world class business,” explains Andrew Dodwell, group managing director. “Much more than a simple change of name, the creation of the new Group represents the latest stage of the company’s progression and one which we are very excited to announce.”

The Fullwood Packo Dairy Group, which is synonymous across the globe for producing market-leading conventional and automated milking systems including M2erlin, the world’s best performing milking robot, and smart milk cooling and storage solutions, is part of Pindustry, the investment company of the Verder Group.

“The Fullwood Packo Dairy Group is motivated to elevate its standing in the global dairy industry by providing everything ambitious dairy farmers need for best quality milking, milk cooling and herd management,” Mr Dodwell explains.

“By forging close working relationships with key outsourcing partners and enhancing our own production processes, the Fullwood Packo Dairy Group is now ideally placed to build on its heritage and to improve the lives of the cows and farmers on the 50,000 dairy farms we already work with and to expand into new international markets.

The Fullwood Packo Dairy Group employs a total of 355 people (110 in the UK) and has four production facilities in the UK (Ellesmere, Shropshire), Belgium (Zedelgem), Ireland (Kanturk, Co. Cork) and Shanghai. As part of the process of creating the Fullwood Packo Dairy Group, the company will recruit a group operations director and a group commercial director. “Both of these key roles will be critical to the Group’s success,” Mr Dodwell continues, “as they will enable us to improve our production efficiencies, reduce operational costs, capture new business opportunities, and ultimately, improve our offering to current and prospective customers by enabling us to utilise lean manufacturing and best in class supply chains.”
