McConnel has introduced the 60hp 62-Series range of hedgecutters, sitting at the centre of the company’s portfolio.
It’s available in 5.1m, 5.5m and 5.7m configurations, with a 5.5m variable forward reach (VFR) machine. According to the company, a key point of the new range is the improved visibility to the cutting head.
High visibility LED road lighting has been added, along with a redesigned hydraulic tank, a two-piece rear guard and a sculpted polypropylene top cover which protects components from debris.
The Power Slew range has been increased to 120deg, improving manoeuvrability especially in awkwardly shaped fields.
McConnel’s parallel-arm and Hy-Reach geometry are included as standard, and the arm is constructed from seam-welded C-section profiles for increased strength.
The in-house 60hp hydraulic system is paired with a 180-litre oil tank and high-capacity cooler, along with an external debris blower available as an option.
Customers have the choice of cable controls or the Motion proportional electric controls. For the rotor, cable controls are standard, with the option of electric.
It’s suitable for tractors over 70hp, and is available with either a three-point linkage and A-frame, or with a four-point connection.
