Mitsubishi Motors has announced the commercial version of the L200 Series 7 pick-up truck, which it says is designed for the most challenging conditions.
It also benefits from reclaimable VAT, 100% first-year capital allowance, a fixed annual road tax of £360, and a Benefit in Kind flat rate of £4,170 based on current figures.
The payload exceeds 1t, and it offers a towing capacity of 3.5t. Power comes from a 2.4-litre, bi-turbo engine, which offers 204ps and 470Nm of torque. This is put through a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Inside, there is a perforated steel bulkhead behind the cockpit, and the rear seats and seatbelts are removed, with a durable phenolic floor fitted with integrated D-ring load restraints.
It’s available in both Titan and Barbarian specifications, with rear-wheel drive and shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive, as well as seven driving modes to suit conditions.
On Barbarian models, the Super Select four-wheel drive system includes a torque-sensing locking centre differential to allow permanent four-wheel drive even on tarmac.
