RAGT Seeds has announced the appointment of David Ramdhian as head of forage and soil health crops for northern Europe, effective from the 1st June 2021.

Mr Ramdhian has gained extensive experience across the forage, seed and crop protection sectors since joining the agricultural supply industry three decades ago. This has included management roles at Dalgety Arable, Horizon Seeds, DLF Seeds, Arysta LifeScience and UPL, with responsibility for the UK, Ireland and northern European markets.

Managing director of RAGT Seeds, Simon Howell, said: “We are delighted that David has decided to join us at what is a very exciting time for the company as our multi-species portfolio undergoes significant growth.

“His skills will be invaluable in helping us push forward our expanding forage and soil health ranges into existing and new markets across Northern Europe.

“David also brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in arable crops, which will be of great benefit to the wider RAGT Seeds business.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Ramdhian said: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to join RAGT Seeds, a company that has come a long way in recent years.

“Its forage business has developed almost beyond recognition and has made impressive inroads into the market, and the company is developing a strong soil health plant portfolio for which demand can only increase here and abroad.

“RAGT Seeds is also delivering some innovative and highly successful varieties in the cereals and oilseeds sector and is a leader in trait development.

“I am very much looking forward to joining RAGT Seeds’ impressive team and taking on, and delivering on, the new challenges that lie ahead.”
