RSABI rebrands Supporters’ Scheme to Friends of RSABI

RSABI Fundraising Executive Margo Wills visited Sam Mercer from Hamilton Ross Group, her very first supporter sign up nine years ago.

Scottish agricultural charity RSABI has announced the Friends of RSABI scheme, an ambitious rebrand of its Supporters Scheme.

It has set a target of 1,000 supporters across the next year to help finance the increasing demand for its services.

As part of the launch, fundraising executive Margo Wills visited her first business supporter, Sam Mercer of Hamilton Ross Group, who joined the scheme in 2016 and is set to continue following the rebrand.

“The rebrand to Friends of RSABI reflects the incredible community spirit of our supporters and the vital role they play in helping us support people involved in Scottish agriculture,” Margo explained.

“We’re setting an ambitious target of reaching 1,000 Friends this year, and we’re confident we can achieve this with the continued generosity and enthusiasm of supporters like Sam.”

Sam added that the work from RSABI was ‘truly exceptional’. “I’m proud to be part of this remarkable support network. As a Friend of RSABI, I’m excited to see the community grow even stronger and continue making a meaningful difference in Scottish agriculture.”

Current supporters will be automatically transferred to the new scheme, and all members will be eligible for a 10% discount on the RSABI online shop. Friends of RSABI will directly contribute to the charity’s work, including financial assistance, emotional support and practical guidance.

RSABI’s head of fundraising, Pauline Macmillan added, “With the support of our growing community, we can make a meaningful difference to those in need. As we move into a very busy year of helping people in Scottish Agriculture we’re calling on individuals, businesses, and corporate partners to help us reach our goal of 1,000 Friends of RSABI this year.”
