Cheffins, the professional services firm specialising in property, land and farm machinery, is developing its profile within the East Anglian rural sector with the appointment of Jonathan Purkiss as rural surveyor.

Jonathan is joining the company from the Valuation Office Agency, where he was senior surveyor for the past seven years. His focus at Cheffins will be on valuations, agency and professional work within the rural team.

Mr Purkiss said: “Cheffins as a diverse mix of clients and I am looking forward to getting involved in a series of projects across the region. Within my new role, I will be able to use my experience gained in the public sector to advise clients on rural matters. The firm has a fantastic reputation and I am pleased to join thei already well-established team.”

The Rural Professionals team at Cheffins, led by Simon Gooderham and Jonathan Stiff, has worked on a number of significant projects over the past year with the company managing a notable portfolio of rural holdings as well as being involved in some of the regions key land and property sales.
