    JCB updates LiveLink telematics

JCB has updated its LiveLink telematics platform, including expanded safety and security functionality.

These include new remote machine management features, including IntelliSense integration on Hi-Viz Loadall telehandlers.

LiveLink is designed to help customers monitor and maintain machines. More than 580,000 machines are linked to the system, with more than 40,000 customers.

It provides location, utilisation, fuel consumption, maintenance requirements, and security data through desktop and mobile applications.

JCB Group managing director – global aftersales, Mario Moser, said: “Customers are increasingly looking for ways to reduce operating costs, improve machine utilisation and maintain safe, efficient worksites. JCB LiveLink continues to evolve to support those objectives.

“The latest developments reflect the growing range of users who rely on machine information across modern operations. Whether they are running a business, managing a fleet, overseeing a project or operating a machine themselves, customers need access to information that is relevant to their role and helps them make informed decisions.

“By helping customers make better-informed decisions, LiveLink can bring increased profitability, safer working environments and more sustainable machine operation.”

Through remote management, managers can remotely adjust settings, including Auto Stop parameters, speed limit controls, IntelliSense, tyre pressure monitoring and remote PIN management.

Health alerts and maintenance notifications can be configured, while geofences and out-of-hours alerts can be set up and monitored to ensure that machines are secure.

IntelliSense brings additional benefits, with the AI system alerting operators to pedestrians who step into areas of risk, with video footage available to review in the case of an incident or near miss.

Detailed reports are also available on working time, idle time, fuel consumption and CO2 output.
