JCB launches Loadall 560-80 agri pro high output telehandler

The outstanding performance of JCB’s six-tonne capacity Loadall 560-80 telescopic handler can now be exploited with the added finesse of hydrostatic drive while still packing a punch on bulk re-handling and loading with the AGRI Pro version due to make its UK debut at the LAMMA show, Peterborough in January 2018.

The new Loadall 560-80 AGRI Pro features JCB’s unique and award-winning DualTech Variable Transmission, proven in other high performance Loadall telescopic handlers to give operators new levels of control, driving ease and productivity.

This all-new JCB transmission provides ‘best of both worlds’ driving and control characteristics using hydrostatic and powershift elements that work seamlessly and automatically. It’s an unbeatable combination – fast and precise response at slow speeds combined with power-efficient direct drive at higher speeds.

The characteristics are especially well suited to the Loadall 560-80 in its role on large farms and commercial bulk stores as a high productivity machine for stockpiling, re-handling and out-loading. This flagship of the Loadall range lifts 6,000kg and can handle a 5cu m grain bucket from the extensive JCB AGRI attachments range.

It combines brawn with a heavy-duty implement carriage and Z-bar linkage that converts hydraulic power into high break-out force with an excellent dump angle for rapid load discharge and 8m of lift height for filling high-sided bins or bulk transport vehicles.

With JCB’s Smart Hydraulics regeneration technology bringing the boom down rapidly but under full control, the Loadall 560-80 AGRI Pro adds up to a formidable machine capable of the fastest possible repeat loading cycles.

A 108kW (145hp) JCB EcoMAX engine – with no DPF for emissions control – and a 140-litre/min hydraulics package ensure there is no shortage of muscle, and with the DualTech VT multi operating modes and adjustable settings, the perfect set-up for every situation is guaranteed.

The hydrostatic element operates up to 19kph before switching seamlessly to a powershift with auto shifting direct drive (there is no torque converter) for efficient roading and towing up to 40kph.

Flexi mode enables engine and ground speed to be set individually; so for loading and re-handling, a constant speed will keep the hydraulics at peak performance with greater fuel economy, while the operator concentrates on steering and boom manipulation.

Using the foot pedal delivers rapid acceleration and fine speed control with generous pushing power and the operator can dial-in a set ground speed for consistent feeding out of silage, grains and concentrates or put a limit on maximum powershift speed when gathering bales in the field.

In comparative tests, AGRI Pro handlers have delivered up to 25% higher repeat-cycle productivity than competitor machines and a 16% advantage when towing. JCB LiveLink data has revealed a 7.13-litre per hour average diesel consumption based on 50,000 machine hours – significantly less than the best competitor claims for fuel economy.

JCB has now introduced six Loadall AGRI Pro telescopic handlers with the unique DualTech VT – the 536-60, 531-70, 536-70, 541-70 and 535-95, and the new 560-80 top capacity model.
