Case IH Optum tractors now available with enhanced control and tech packages

Case IH has unveiled a series of updates to its Optum range, offering new tech packages and an upgraded joystick control system – all aimed at helping contractors and farmers fine-tune their machines to specific tasks and operational demands.

One of the upgrades is the enhanced joystick functionality. The configurable joystick, located on the Multicontroller armrest, now provides proportional control of both the front and rear linkages. This update enables operators to tailor the tractor setup with pinpoint accuracy, whether working with front and rear implements, such as mower combinations, or tackling rear-only operations like ploughing.

All functions are configured through the familiar Case IH Pro 1200 touchscreen display, making it quick and intuitive to adjust to any job on the day.

Optum tractors – available in three models with rated outputs from 271hp to 340hp – can now be specified with tiered technology packages, following a similar structure seen on the Quadtrac, Steiger, Magnum, and Puma 185-260 ranges.

These tech packages are designed to streamline the ordering process, providing buyers with greater flexibility to match the machine’s digital capabilities to their exact requirements. They can be paired with either the Advanced or Professional spec levels, offering a clear path for upgrades and improving residual value down the line.

All three tech levels include the Pro 1200 display and a readiness package for a second screen, while the upper tiers unlock more advanced automation and high-precision AccuGuide auto-steering.

In line with Case IH’s drive to make digital tools more accessible, all new Optum models now come with Connectivity Included as standard. This provides lifetime access to connected services and the brand’s FieldOps platform – all without ongoing subscription fees.

FieldOps offers a data management solution via app or web, giving users near real-time access to machine performance and agronomic insights. From planning and execution to monitoring and review, it aims to simplify day-to-day operations while boosting long-term efficiency.

Eligible existing Case IH machines can be upgraded to Connectivity Included at no extra cost once linked to a customer’s account.
