Suffolk-based Trac-Con is offering one-off or small batch conversions of the JCB Fastrac to handle operations in a range of sectors, from agriculture and forestry to utility projects.
Using the Fastrac 4000 model, with four-wheel steer, all-round ABS braking and an active suspension system, the company lengthens the chassis and mounts the cabin at the front, creating a rear deck of more than 3m. This enables high-capacity spreading units or sprayer tanks to be mounted.
The rear linkage is retained, with a lift capacity of 8t, while a 20t capacity pick-up is fitted with pneumatic latching. It’s also possible to fit a rear camera for easy hitching. Pneumatic braking to the rear implement is available through the existing twin-line air system.
In the cabin, the JCB Isobus terminal can be used to display all functions of the deck-mounted attachment, including sprayer and boom operations, or application rate control.
As an option, it’s possible to specify a high-clearance unit, which replaces the diesel and oil tanks with reshaped stainless-steel units, providing the space for 390/90 R46 row crop tyres. According to the company, the conversion price is around £45,000.
