Completing its range of subsoilers, Grégoire Besson will introduce a semi-mounted Helios T80 machine at Agritechnica. It’s designed for tractors from 280-800hp, available in working widths from 4.5m up to 7.5m.
The Helios uses a three-part folding frame, with a double beam setup, and is fitted as standard with shock-absorbing arms, fully hydraulic adjustment of the depth and rollers, stabiliser wheels and an adjusting system that keeps the chassis parallel to the ground.
It comes with two types of tines. The low disturbance can work down to 40cm and is designed to break up compaction with disturbing soil layers, while the Helikrak tine mixes residues and soil to restructure the ground after harvest. Both tines are interchangeable, allowing the machines to be adjusted to the task at hand.
The tines can be fitted with a shearbolt system, with up to 5,600kg of resistance, or a non-stop hydraulic system with 1,450kg of resistance, with an adjustable pressure from 160-200bar. A full range of rollers are available, including single, double and spiked units, and the machine can be fitted with side guards to stop soil being thrown and LED lights.
