Kuhn Farm Machinery is offering a retrofit Isobus system for its large-scale mowing units and new disc mowers.
Not only will the system integrate multiple controls into a single setup, it also enables the setup of headland turn sequences, suspension adjustments and automatic section control.
Sam Alford, grassland product specialist, says the retrofit kit could prove popular with users wanting to improve functionality, without upgrading their mowing units.
“Mowers without Isobus fitted during the build process can now be retrofitted with the functionality at a fraction of the cost compared to buying a new set of Isobus mowers. Users who’ve purchased non-ISOBUS new or second-hand mowers can retrofit an industry standard system to quickly and easily adjust settings from a single terminal.
“The upgrade kit will also appeal to dealers stocking used, non-ISOBUS mowers, as retrofitting these models with ISOBUS capabilities adds significant value, making them more attractive to prospective buyers requiring the functionality on a used budget.”
The system works directly through the tractor terminal, or via a Kuhn Isobus display. These are compatible with other implement brands and can be transferred across tractors. The CCI A3 joystick can also be optioned.
Compatible mowers for the kit include model year 2026 GMD 9530+, GMD 9530 RV, FC 9530D+, FC10030+ D. Model year 2027 machines available for the ISOBUS kit are the GMD 9530+ and GMD 10030+; FC 9530+ DR; FC 8830+ DR and FC 10030+ DR.
