Moving up into the Utility category, Solis offers the S95 Cab model with a S-Tech engine, producing 90hp. Like its Specialised entrant, the company states not only the highest engine capacity (4,087cu cm) in the sector, but also the highest torque at 385Nm.
A power shuttle is optional, with the base gearbox being a mechanical 20×20 synchro system with a maximum speed of 40kph. At the rear, the linkage has a lift capacity of 3,500kg while the hydraulic system produces 80 litres/min, supplying up to three double-acting spools. Two mid-mount valves are also available, with a dedicated joystick fitted in the cab.
Speaking of the cabin, efforts have been made to bring this model in line with its competitors, including a flat floor and the option of a pneumatic seat. The dashboard is swapped out for digital cluster and key controls are mounted on the right-hand side.
Additional features include automatic pto control and stabilising to always maintain the correct speed. There is also cruise control and automatic four-wheel drive, as well as a hydraulically assisted braking system.
Like the smaller model, it is available with the company’s S-Connect system for telematics, improved safety (including automotive-style collision detection) and geofencing and immobilisation as a theft deterrent.
