An expanded range of Spaldings’ SPL Ultra points, wings and shins will be the focus of the company’s stand at this year’s Cereals Event (June 30/July 1). This year also marks the company’s 65th anniversary as the country’s original and largest aftermarket spare parts supplier.

“We’re very well known for the workshop tools, consumables, general parts and other products we supply throughout the UK and Ireland, and increasingly for our range of vegetation control and forestry machines,” said Steve Constable, managing director.

“But at the biggest arable event of the year, we want to focus attention on the various lines of replacement wearing parts we offer, engineered for performance as well as longevity with the strategic use of strong base materials and wear-resistant technologies such as Durafacing and tungsten tiles.”

A Spaldings FlatLift, a low draft, low disturbance subsoiler for grassland and arable work, will be the focal point at the show, kitted out with various wearing part solutions, including replacement shins, points and wings.

The latest addition to the SPL Ultra range is the R1360 Rear Subsoil Point for the Keeble Brothers Progressive machine. The one-piece structure has 16mm thick, 127mm wide soil-lifting wings with tungsten tile leading edges behind a projecting point with tungsten tiles on the face and sides.

It complements the existing design with 76mm wings and follows the claw-type chisel point and point/wing combinations designed for Grange Machinery and TWB subsoilers, and Horsch Terrano cultivators. The original portfolio of SPL Ultra parts is suitable for Horsch, Väderstad and Simba/Great Plains cultivators, with tine coulter points for Kuhn, Kverneland and KRM Sola seed drills.

Visitors to the stand will also see a range of original parts, following the company’s distribution agreement with Grimme, as well as the exclusive supply role for Tillso subsoiler and cultivator parts.
