New Holland dealership Haynes Agricultural Ltd has now completed its acquisition of Oakes Bros Ltd. Haynes, one of the longest established New Holland dealers in the UK, will now operate six depots covering parts of Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire and Surrey.

The former Oakes Bros premises, in Micheldever, Horsham and East Ilsley, have been retained and all of the staff in those depots have transferred to Haynes to ensure continuity.

Adrian Woods, Haynes Agricultural operations director, commented: “We are delighted to have been able to expand our agricultural operations across the south of England. We look forward to working with all of our new staff and customers in our new territory and wish them a warm welcome to Haynes as we develop our business in the area together with New Holland.”

Andrew Haynes, chairman and CEO of the Haynes Group, said; “Haynes and Oakes share similar values and we believe this acquisition is a natural fit for our business as it significantly widens our depot footprint and coverage for New Holland. Over time this should provide us with increased economies of scale with more shared resources, which should, in turn, enable us to provide an even better service to our farming customers.”

Pat Smith, New Holland business director for the UK commented: “We are delighted that these two companies with long trading history have come together giving them the critical mass to invest and grow the business fit for the future ”
