Tractor of the Year: Best of Specialized – Rigitrac SKH 60

Sold across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the Rigitrac range has been developed for alpine operations, with specialist features to facilitate working on slopes. The latest SKH 60 model is mounted on a C-profile chassis, made from fine grain steel to be robust and with an articulated design for five possible steering systems.

Front axle and four-wheel steering are available, as well as crab steer but the Rigitrac also offers rear-axle steering and a specially developed delayed steering system, where the rear axle will not steer until the front axle has reached a 10-degree turning angle.

Power comes from a Deutz four-cylinder engine, producing 75hp and meeting Stage V emissions regulations. Torque is 240Nm, reached at 1,600rpm. This is put to the ground via a stepless, two-stage hydrostatic transmission, with an Automatic Eco Drive function to match engine speed to the power requirement.

Hydraulic power is 60 litres per minute, delivered via a load-sensing axial piston pump. Front and rear lifts are fitted as standard, both offering 2,000kg of lift, with external controls and up to 190mm of hydraulic side-shifting.

For increased operator comfort, the SKH 60 can be specified with cabin slope compensation. This adjusts the cabin position by up to 30% to keep the operator upright when working on hills, improving posture and reducing fatigue.

It’s completed by an ergonomic control panel and digital dashboard, with the option of automatic climate control.
