envirolac, the new palm-free fat supplement from UFAC-UK, has been shortlisted for the Royal Dairy Innovation Award, which will be judged at this year’s Dairy-Tech on the 1st of February.
Launched last August following months of research, envirolac has been proven to increase milk yields and quality, while offering a lower carbon footprint than alternatives using palm fat.
The study was led by Professor of Dairy Science Phil Garnsworthy at the University of Nottingham and supported by The Centre of Innovation Excellence in Livestock (CIEL). Professor Garnsworthy will be on the UFAC-UK stand at Dairy-Tech (E12) to discuss his findings.
He will also present to the judges in the Dairy-Tech Innovation Hub alongside UFAC-UK sales manager Nigel Bateson. This begins at 9.55am and will be open to any interested visitors.
The winner will be announced shortly before 4pm at Dairy-Tech, with representatives from the winning company invited to Buckingham Palace in April to receive a signed framed certificate and trophy from Princess Royal.
