The Votex stand at Lamma included several new products from Italian manufacturer Ferri.
A new 40hp model of its remote-controlled tool carrier, iCut, was showcased. Powered by a diesel engine producing 109Nm of torque, it has a remote control range of up to 150m and work on slopes up to 55deg. The undercarriage is hydraulically adjustable and the machine can reach speeds of up to 8kph.
A range of tracks are available to suit different conditions, as well as a series of flail heads to tackle brash, forestry and grassland.
The company also highlighted Ferri’s tractor-mounted forestry mulchers, including the TFCB/F, available in 1.6m and 1.8m working widths and capable of tackling brush up to 20cm in diameter. It features a Hardox lining around the rotor, as well as tungsten carbide knives and a frame built from Domex high-strength steel. Wider working widths up to 2.2m are available across the range, with fixed tooth rotors to handle woodland up to 40cm in diameter.
