New six-wheeler UTV developed by Can-Am

BRP has announced the expansion of its Can-Am side-by-side range with the 6×6 DPS HD10, which the company states will present new job opportunities across the agriculture and amenity sectors.

It can reportedly handle haulage and transportation work, providing owners with increased comfort, power and performance.

The triple-axle design increases the wheelbase, spreading the vehicle’s weight for a gentle footprint across varied terrains. It’s powered by an 82hp Rotax engine, a liquid cooling system, and a 40-litre fuel tank for long working days.

Towing capacity is 1,360kg, while the payload and cargo capacities are 771kg and 454kg respectively. Capacity can be increased with an extended cargo box, and the integrated design includes the LinQ quick-attach system, built-in anchors, tie-down points and recesses.

The interior has been designed for increased functionality and comfort. Cab pillars have been moved forward, while the Versa-Pro bench seat can accommodate up to three adults or be flipped up to increase cargo space.

James Dalke, BRP commercial manager UK and Ireland, said: “The Can-Am Traxter 6×6 DPS HD10 has been designed to be used across multiple industries and terrains, which means it will never be out of work. In addition, we believe this SSV will instantly improve job productivity and efficiency through its ability to carry and tow more and access hard-to-reach areas that other SSVs might not be able to reach.

“It is also the next logical addition to our innovative utility SSV line-up and we look forward to it helping open up new sales opportunities for our growing dealer network, which, in turn, will help us grow our share of the utility market.”
