WM Agri announces two new products from Canadian manufacturer

Norfolk-based importer and distributor, WM Agri, has announced two new products, both developed by Canadian engineer Darcy Goossen and distributed under the business name The TireGrabber Ltd.

The first is the TireGrabber itself. Available to fit tractor-mounted loaders, telehandlers and skidsteers, the unit has three arms with adjustable brackets to lift and move tyres and wheels. The 3000R unit that is available now from WM Agri can handle both front and rear tyres up to 2.4m in diameter, with a 2.5t capacity.

Will Mallon, managing director of WM Agri, explained that the TireGrabber will complement the company’s current product range: “It fits alongside our TrakJak range, which can support a tractor by attaching to the front or rear linkage, enabling wheels to be safely removed.”

According to the manufacturer, the TireGrabber reduces the number of staff required to change over the largest tyres. When tyres are been remounted onto the machine, the unit can be manually rotated up to 45deg to line up the axle bolts, speeding up the process of changing over.

    SprayerJack

Further expanding WM Agri’s range of safety equipment for maintenance and tyre changing, the company will import the SprayerJack – also manufactured by The TireGrabber Ltd.

Powered by an integrated 12v battery, the SprayerJack has a maximum capacity of 13t and so can lift some of the heaviest equipment. It’s specifically designed for self-propelled sprayers, as these have the axle heights to drive over the unit and have the greater need due to swapping between standard tyres and row crops.

It is remote-controlled meaning that operators are kept away from the machine as it is lifted, with locking arms that fall into place to avoid the jack lowering while work is being done. The jack can lift to 1.79m or 1.89m when the high-rise rubber blocks are optioned.

“Operator safety is absolutely key to our product range,” concluded Will. “We can now offer the TrakJak for tractors and the SprayerJack for sprayers and larger equipment such as combines and foragers, both of which can be used in conjunction with the TireGrabber.”
