As part of the Rea Valley Tractors Arable Demonstration Event, held near Newport, Shropshire on the 8th September, Kuhn Farm Machinery launched a new integral furrow press for its Vari-Master L in-furrow plough range.
Available on four, five and six furrow machines, the Duo-Liner operates independently of the plough to potentially produce a drill-ready seedbed in one pass.
It’s mounted using two independent hydraulic parallelogram systems, attaching the row of dual 600mm diameter press wheels to the plough. Using Kuhn’s Steady Control automatic pressure regulation system, it can offer a downward pressure of up to 90kg on each pair of wheels.
The Duo-Liner is specified with the company’s KTS 10 control box, enabling the lift and position of the machine to be controlled from the cab. Turnover functions are fully automated and require no additional action from the operator.
