Extending its cultivation range, Pöttinger has announced the TerraDisc HT 12000, with a working width of 12.5m, designed for tractors from 450hp up to 720hp.
It features the Twin Arm system, seen across the range, with two disc carriers and two concave discs per bracket. Each bracket has 380mm of contact with the main frame, which the company states keeps the discs in line even in difficult conditions.
The discs have a diameter of 580mm, with scalloped or standard concave versions available, and work at an aggressive angle for shallow cultivation from 5cm deep. Pöttinger’s maintenance-free non-stop stone protection is also included as standard.
The width is divided into four sections, with independent contour following. The inner sections can move from -3deg up to 3deg, while the outer wings move from -4.5deg up to 4.5deg. Each section can be hydraulically pre-tensioned to maintain the working depth across the full width.
Four double-acting spool valves are required, with intelligent presets to automate key functions, including working depth, downwards pressure and side pull correction. Depth is adjusted hydraulically using swing clips in 9mm steps.
The rear roller supports the machine on the headland, providing a steering angle of 85deg.
