Horizon had its RotorFlex peristaltic pump on the stand, a modular unit designed to apply liquid fertiliser through the drill. It’s available with 12, 18 or 24 outlets, suitable for application rates up to 240 litres/min. Greater rates can be achieved by using multiple units across the working width.
According to the company, it can be retrofitted to any make of drill, with product drawn through the pump via a vacuum created as the rubber hose is pressed. This design means that no valves or filters are required, and product is isolated from core components. As the application rate is proportional to the motor speed, rates can be set and easily repeated.
It can be combined with a front tank, or a Horizon drill-mounted tank, and product is applied through a single DSX liquid fertiliser tube at the seed coulter, a PPX dribble bar attachment at the closer, or via the seed firmer to place fertilisers directly around the seed.
