New Kverneland sprayer focuses on environment and crop quality

The iXtrack T4 is Kverneland’s newest high precision trailed sprayer. It is part of Kverneland’s complete iXtrack T-series but has new features like a 36/24m spray boom, SpotSpray, 25cm and 50cm nozzle distance and the Boom Guide ProActive spray height control system. It also includes existing iXtrack features like the Pro cleaning and rinsing system; enabling the iXtrack T4 to offer optimal crop and environmental protection.

    Precision spraying

The iXtrack T4 sprayer range comes with 50cm nozzle spacing as standard, which can be altered to 25cm with additional nozzles. With the 25cm nozzle spacing, drift reduction is bettered as it becomes possible to spray closer to a target area at 30cm spray heights.

The ability to switch between the 25cm and 50cm spacings is also simple and offers greater flexibility. As does the new 36/24m working width for the HSS steel boom sprayer.

    The sprayer’s 25cm nozzle spacings

“This working width is a request from farmers and contractors. In this way they are able to spray at both 24 and 36m, depending on the type of farm, field circumstances or specific crop,” said Pavel Dvořák, Kverneland product application specialist.

    Liquid management

To optimise each of the sprayer’s individual nozzles, a high pressure recirculation system, with electric and individual nozzle control, prevents sedimentation in the spray lines and no dead ends for spraying or cleaning – even when the boom’s working width is only partially used.

The iXflow-E recirculation system makes use of maintenance free, electric ball valves. It is also CANbus connected and ISOBUS compatible for nozzle by nozzle section control when spot spraying.

With this Kverneland patented system, during spraying, the spray lines are fed from multiple directions for constant pressure to each nozzle; so the operator can immediately start spraying at a set pressure.

    Boom balancing

The iXtrack T4 includes the next generation Kverneland Boom Guide ProActive automatic boom height control system, for optimised boom stability at all spray heights.

The Boom Guide ProActive system uses ultrasonic sensors to control the spray hydraulics. While the special Hybrid mode measures the distance from boom to plant and from boom to soil, for a uniform crop.

    Usability

The iXtrack T-series is fully compatible with the iXclean Pro, which allows for remote switching between functions such as filling, agitation, spraying, diluting, priming, rinsing and tank cleaning. The iXclean Pro includes a triple cleaning program to ensure that a sprayer is completely clean and ready for any spray job.

Plus, new functions include turbo agitation on headland U-turns and easier cleaning of the main tank or automatic functions for double pumps.
