Tractor of the Year 2026 – TotY Specialized– Solis N90

Updates to the Solis N series include a 2% increase in the maximum horsepower. Using an in-house developed four-cylinder S-Tech engine, the new N90 produces 90hp and 375Nm of torque, available at just 1,400rpm.

Efforts have been made to minimise fuel consumption as well, with the company claiming 240g/kWh when running at the rated engine speed of 2,200rpm.

A Carraro transmission puts power to the ground, with four mechanical gears and three ranges, combined with a mechanical power shuttle, for a top speed of 30kph. Creeper gears are fitted as standard, providing a minimum speed of 0.47kph. A power shuttle is also available as an option.

Moving to the rear of the machine and there is an open centre hydraulic system producing 45 litres/min, with a 24 litres/min independent steering system. Up to three double-acting mechanical spools can be fitted, with float settings and kick out, while the linkage can lift up to 2,500kg. It uses a fully mechanical pto system, offering 540rpm or 540eco.

The cabin has a flat floor and is mounted on dampeners to limit jolts to the driver. Solis also offers category 4 filtration to protect the operator during spraying operations. Sat on a wheelbase of 2,310mm, the N90 is said to be a stable machine, even when brought down to the minimum width of 1,400mm, and offers a turning radius of 3,370mm for tight turns at the headland.

Matching other manufacturers on the market, Solis has developed the S-Connect smart farming companion. A wireless telemetry system that provides real-time tracking of the tractor, service alerts and diagnostics, fleet management and geofencing.

This includes analysis of driver behaviour, collision detection and automatic contact with emergency services (depending on region) and two-stage immobilisation in the case of theft.
