Chinese manufacturer Lovol used Agritechnica to showcase its 2026 tractor range, which will see the company expand beyond utility machines and into the mid-to-high horsepower bracket.
Starting with the P4000 range, it uses a Doosan D34 engine up to the P4110 model (100-116hp) and an in-house Weichai WP4.6N for the remaining two machines, taking the range up to 150hp.
Three variants of the transmission are used across the range, with an 18×18 mechanical box sitting in the first four models, adding a powershuttle to the P4110, and a Hi-Lo splitter for 36 forward gears in the flagship. The P4130 also gets an uprated hydraulic system, producing 80 litres/min, over the 55-litre pump in the other models.
The three models in the P5000 run from 130hp up to 168hp, with Doosan providing the power in the entry model, while Weichai WP4.6N engines are fitted into the other two. All three get a 45×15 powershift transmission, with a 40kph top speed and full electric control. At the rear, the hydraulic pump produces 70 litres/min, and the rear linkage is electronically controlled.
Perhaps the most disruptive addition to the Lovol range is the P7240, which not only catapults the company to 240hp, produced by a Weichai power unit, but also introduces a stepless transmission, also developed in-house. Torque levels peak at 1,100Nm, and the engine meets Stage V emissions regulations.
Efforts have been made around the cabin as well, with a four-pillar, suspended design, noise levels below 80dB and automotive-style air conditioning. The hydraulics package is nearly doubled compared to the rest of the portfolio, offering 150 litres/min, and when measured 610mm behind the arms, the rear linkage can handle 7,000kg.
