Following the closure of its engine and transmission plants, Zetor has gradually been overhauling its tractor range. The Series 6 was introduced at the start of 2025, and will now be joined by the three-model Series 5.
“Series 5 represents exactly the type of tractor many customers are looking for today – a robust, mechanical and operationally efficient machine without unnecessary complexity. Our goal was to bring a tractor offering high utility value, simple servicing and parameters matching the needs of European farmers,” says Róbert Harman, CEO.
The range will replace the Proxima range, and the company states it offers a more robust construction than its predecessor, with a higher operating weight, a more powerful hydraulic system and higher rear linkage capacity.
It was developed in cooperation with Hattat Traktör. Three models are available, all powered by four-cylinder FPT engines. The 5100 offers 102hp, with a basic 24×24 mechanical transmission, with a mechanical reverser and splitter.
The 5110 and 5120 have outputs of 113hp and 122hp respectively, with an uprated transmission that includes powershuttle and two-stage powershift functionality. All three have a maximum speed of 40kph.
Hydraulic output is rated at 65 litres/min for the 5100, increasing to 80 litres/min for the larger machines. The rear linkage capacity increases from 4,500kg on the entry machine, to 5,500kg on the 5110 and 5120.
“Modern agricultural machinery development is now based on combining experience, technologies and strong manufacturing partnerships. Our goal was to return the Zetor brand to this key performance segment as quickly as possible and offer customers not only a robust, technically proven and affordable solution, but also a very strong service network and excellent spare parts availability,” adds Róbert.
