Zoomlion launches high-power hybrid and diesel tractors

Another Chinese manufacturer looking to be a disruptor in the UK market is Zoomlion, brought into the country by Vivid Machinery – a longtime supplier of the company’s construction equipment. At Agritechnica, the company showcased its hybrid tractor range, which extends all the way to the 700hp DX7004.

Looking further down the range, however, the DL1604 offers 160hp, produced by a combination of diesel engine and dual electric motors. This is put to the ground through a stepless, two-range gearbox, with automatic functionality that adjusts the engine speed to improve fuel efficiency.

The DG2004 and DQ2604 increase the power outputs to 200hp and 260hp, with intelligent distribution of power through the electric drive. Both use the stepless transmission, with the smaller tractor having two ranges, while the larger machine has seamless acceleration up to 40kph. The DQ also gets a 180 litres/min hydraulic system.

Rounding out the hybrid range is the DV 350hp, with a 40kph continuously variable transmission. It also has a 227 litres/min hydraulic system and can lift 8,000kg at 610mm behind the linkage arms. According to Zoomlion, the hybrid drivetrain keeps the engine speed below 1,600rpm.

It also offers a series of Stage V diesel machines, starting with the RK754, which offers 75hp and 380Nm of torque. Two models of the RN range increase the power outputs to 130hp, retaining a mechanical transmission and offering 60 litres/min at the hydraulic pump.

The RM range has three models between 90-110hp, with a synchronised 12×12 gearbox, up to 460Nm of torque and a hydraulic pump that produces 50 litres/min, while the RL1604 achieves 165hp; it adds a powershift transmission and increases the hydraulic output to a maximum of 155 litres/min. The 200hp PG2004 rounds out the current range, with a 48×24 powershift box, 950Nm of torque and 160 litres/min at the hydraulic pump.
