There were several new launches on the Tafe Agritechnica stand, including its 7515 with a cab. The cab has plenty of visibility, a flat floor and integrates some nice features while retaining the easy-to-use, cost-conscious mentality behind the brand, with a 74hp engine and a mechanical gearbox with a three-way splitter.
There’s a simple mechanical solution to set the upper and lower limits for the rear linkage, which can handle up to 2,600kg. It also has a 60 litres/min hydraulic system and a 20 litres/min secondary pump for the steering.
Thanks to a tie-up with Quicke, Tafe will offer the 7515 with a front loader, with a 1,200kg capacity, with a third function. Agritechnica also saw the first public viewing of its 103hp flagship tractor. Building on the 7515, it uses a 30×15 transmission with power shuttle, and increases the rear lift to 4,000kg.
The rest of the stand was dedicated to alternative fuels. Its fully electric EV28 machine was there, with a fully automatic transmission and several motors throughout the machine to independently power the driveline and hydraulics. It peaks at 43hp equivalent and includes hill assist.
Completely new at the event was the EVX75 hybrid machine, with a Stage V diesel engine and 400v battery system combined to produce 75hp. Details are slight on the machine now, but it has a liquid cooling system for reliable operation, and a three-speed transmission that peaks at 40kph.
Unlike the fully electric version, this was shown with a full cabin, and it is finished with an electro-hydraulic rear lift, high-flow hydraulics and is said to be automation-ready.
