Crop Marketing Group appoints Cefetra as marketing partner

Contract signing L-R, CMG Vice Chairman Tom Finchett, CMG Chairman Andrew Bullock and Cafetra Farm Grain Origination Manager Simon Wilcox.

Cefetra Ltd has been named as the new marketing partner for Crop Marketing (Groups) Ltd (CMG). The company will take responsibility for the grain marketing from harvest 2024 and was selected after a detailed review process.

CMG dates back to 1970 and comprises ten regional groups, each with its own marketing committee, the chairman of which is appointed to the overall CMG board. Each committee has a significant input on pool pricing through regular meetings, and the process is said to transparent to prevent surprises at the end of the pool period.

Andrew Bullock, CMG chairman, said: “We are very pleased to appoint Cefetra Grain as our marketing partner from Harvest 2024 onwards following a detailed review of the opportunities ahead of us and the completion of a rigorous selection process. We look forward to working together to generate future growth for CMG and our members.”
