Amazone to bring new kit to Cereals

Amazone has announced a series of launches and showcases at this year’s Cereals Event to highlight the shifting trends in crop establishment.

This year’s event will see the introduction of the Pantera 7004 self-propelled sprayer, with a 7,000-litre capacity and available with boom widths up to 48m. It’s mounted on a completely new chassis with self-levelling capabilities and the ability to alter the front and rear track widths independently.

The unladen weight of the machine remains below 12 tonnes, with a 50:50 weight distribution. The wet system has been lifted from the 4504 machine but with updates to increase the capacity of the pumps, with more engine power and a stronger driveline.

Both the Pantera 4504 and 7004 can be fitted with the DirectInject system.

    New Schmotzer hoes

Amazone will also launch the new Select hoe, extending the Schmotzer range to include options for liquid fertiliser application and band spraying when combined with the FT-P 1502 front tank.

ISOBUS control, hydraulic pump drive and up to seven part-width sections can be used.

The new range can also be combined with the FTender fertiliser hopper, enabling the band spreading of fertilisers in row crops, or the undersowing of companion crops.

    SmartFrame for disc harrow models

New folding models of the Catros+ 03 disc harrow will be on show at Cereals, available in 4m, 5m 6m and 7m working widths, with the option of a bogie chassis. These new machines feature the SmartFrame system which allows the working depth to be adjusted on the move without impacting the levelness of the machine.

This provides a consistent working depth between the front and rear discs, and as the working depth increases, the clearance between the discs and the frame is also increased, as is the distance between the discs and the rear roller to improve soil passage through the machine.

The new models also have the option of the 480mm X-Cutter discs for shallow stubble work and the 510mm smooth, fine-serrated or coarse-serrated concave discs.

    ISOBUS GreenDrill for catch cropping

Finally, Amazone will show the Cobra 6000-2TX cultivator, equipped with a GreenDrill 501 catch crop seeder. The ISOBUS controlled seeder can be used in conjunction with GPS headland shut-off and variable rate application.
