    Take part in #Proud2Farm

To promote the positive realities of agriculture, farmers are being encouraged to post videos to social media using the hashtag #Proud2Farm.

The #Proud2Farm campaign is being fronted by Carr’s Billington and will launch in early June, in a bid to showcase the work that farmers do to feed and support the nation.

Mark Cole, Carr’s Billington’s managing director, said that this campaign is a support method for the company’s customers and wider farming community, and was inspired by the ice bucket challenge which went viral in 2014.

Mr Cole continued: “By encouraging farmers to highlight what makes them proud to farm, our industry can demonstrate its passion for animal health, welfare and the environment, to an audience wider than just the farming and rural community.”

Carr’s Billington has also pledged a donation to the Farm Safety Foundation, for every video posted, up to the first 500. A £250 voucher prize is also available for June’s top video creator.

“It’s also hoped that these videos will help spread the message that farmers are admirably resilient and community-minded, particularly in times of crisis, which is something our industry can sometimes be very modest about. This is a chance for the agricultural sector to shine a spotlight on all the positive things we do,” notes Mr Cole.

“Using the hashtag #Proud2Farm, tagging Carr’s Billington, and nominating a friend to post their own video within 24 hours, will help this campaign gain traction and spread this positive message further.”

For anyone wanting to take part, all you need to do is create a 20-second video showing what makes you proud to farm, with the hashtag #Proud2Farm, which you then upload via a post or reel to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or TikTok.
