Kuhn to highlight versatile solutions at Tillage-Live

Visitors to Tillage-Live will be able to see the latest updates to Kuhn Farm Machinery’s Multi-Leader XT plough range, alongside its cultivators and drills.

The Multi-Leader XT was updated to include the tilt correction system, which aligns the working angle of the plough to maximise the tractor power and reduce fuel use. A new Z-beam also allows for a streamlined design with a single 1,200mmx500mm wheel.

Edd Fanshawe, arable product specialist, says: “The plough is still a vital tool for many farms and we are seeing some growers who previously turned away from ploughing now using one in a targeted way. The latest additions to the Multi-Leader XT allow operators to achieve the greatest efficiency from ploughing.”

Also working at the event will be a Performer 4000, fitted with an optional SH 600 seeding unit, and a Prolander 6000 with a distribution head.

“The optional seeding units have been commanding a lot of interest recently, with many growers entering Sustainable Farming Incentive agreements and requiring a cost-effective way to establish cover crops and other environmental areas. The SH 600 seeding unit is designed to offer a one-pass establishment for these operations.

“The distribution head on the Prolander also highlights its versatility when combined with a front tank, such as the TF 1512. Many growers will leave drilling later and the Prolander offers a shallow stubble cultivator with the option to sow a crop at the same time.”

Other machines on the Kuhn stand include a Striger 600, Optimer 6000, Espro drill, the mounted Aero 32.1 boom fertiliser applicator and an HR3020 and Venta 303-20 combination drill.

Tillage-Live takes place at Tadcaster on the 18th of September. For more information go to www.tillage-live.com
