With March usually representing the peak month for tractor registrations, it should be no surprise that last month saw the most registrations since March 2024.
However, the figures from the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) show a marked decline year-on-year. There were 1,466 machines registered in March 2025, 24.4% down when compared to the same month the year before.
It is the lowest March figure recorded since 2016, and the means that the total number of tractors registered in 2025 so far (2,228) is the lowest since 2021. Year-on-year, the total number is 22.9% down.
