The Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) has announced that 1,105 tractors were registered in April – an increase year-on-year of 12.1%.
It follows strong growth in March, typically the best month for registrations. While the figure for April is significantly higher than the same month last year, the AEA states that it is close to the seasonal average for this time of year.
The total for 2026 is now 4,097, 27.5% higher than for the same period in 2025. This represents nearly 800 additional machines.
However, the AEA remains cautious about the trajectory of registrations. Most registered machines were likely ordered before the start of the conflict in the Middle East. It remains to be seen what impact rising costs and increased uncertainty will have on purchasing.
