Merlo has launched two new-generation Turbofarmer models, the TF38.10 and TF42.7, with updates designed to improve comfort, safety and productivity.
The 42.7 offers a 4.2t maximum capacity and a lift height of 7m, while the 38.10 can handle 3.8t and lift to 10m.
“The 4.2-tonne, 7-metre sector represents one of the most significant markets within UK agriculture. Every change we’ve made has been focused on improving the overall operator experience, from reducing vibration and improving visibility to making access easier and safer.” says Owen Buttle, national sales manager, Merlo UK.
On both machines, the cab entrance has been redesigned, with wider staggered steps and a 50mm floor cut-out for ease of access. New silent block mountings also improve comfort.
The FOPS roof guard has been redesigned to a fin style, maintaining the same level of protection while improving visibility to the boom and load. The front roof bar has also been raised by 30mm for greater forward visibility.
Metal mudgards replace the plastic fenders, and a new hydraulic distributor has been fitted. The chassis has also been extended by 30mm to increase clearance between the tyres and the chassis.
To simplify the range, 136hp Perkins engines are now used across hydrostatic and CVT machines, and the company has updated its Adaptive Stability Control System.
