Boss ORV appointed distributor for compact seeders

The range of Faunamaster Seeders, designed for ATVs, UTVs and compact tractors, will now be distributed in the UK by Boss ORV.

Developed by the Danish company Faunaseeds ApS, the units are said to sow virtually any sized seed to a depth of 80mm and can be used to sow into existing pastures, wildflower meadows, tilled soil or any area where a traditional drill may be too big.

The seedbox has a capacity of 45 litres, and there is an additional 40-litre box for fertiliser. Seed metering includes two funnels; a yellow one for larger seeds or blends, and a blue one for small seeds.

The Faunamaster can be fitted to an ATV or UTV ball hitch and features a built-in actuator, enabling the operator to work the planter without getting off the vehicle. When raised, it has a ground clearance of 200mm.

The seed rate is adjusted through the ATV handlebars and the drill uses discs to cut into the soil. Depth control is via two adjustable bolts on the wheel arm and the working width is 1,050mm. It weighs in at 260kg and has a recommended working speed of between 4-6kph.
