A new Stage V compliant version of the six-tonne E57W wheeled excavator is now available, featuring a Bobcat D24 57hp engine and meeting emissions regulations through the use of a DOC and DPF system.

Torque levels are 202Nm, available at just 1,600rpm (200rpm lower than the previous generation). This offers improved fuel consumption, aided by functions such as automatic shut-off after a predetermined idling time and auto-idle.

The engine has also been optimised, with all maintenance points accessible from ground level. A new oil filter pipe and automatic belt tensioner enhance serviceability and the tailgate openings have been designed to improve airflow.

Into the cabin, which is said to be spacious, with low noise (74 decibels) and vibration levels. All-round visibility is bolstered by the demisting system, cab and boom LED lights and large side mirrors. A fully adjustable heated air suspension seat and climate control are also part of the standard fitment.

It’s said to be simple and intuitive to use, with fully adjustable controls, a seven-inch touchscreen display and ergonomically placed controls. The joystick is responsive, while the proportional auxiliary flow ensures precise control.
